Fidelity only offers a Roth IRA. At the moment, they don't provide a Roth option for an individual 401(k).Does Fidelity offer a self-directed Roth IRA or Roth 401k, or both?

They charge fees, including a 1% fee for crypto transactions!Carry offers self-directed accounts with no AUM (Assets Under Management) fees.
Ah, I was pointing out that there are no AUM fees, just a flat subscription rate. This means that no matter how much you invest or how much it grows, you’re not charged a percentage. For crypto, I believe you’re referring to the transaction fees, but they’re similar to what other providers charge. They charge fees, including a 1% fee for crypto transactions!
It's terrible for crypto; they charge $30 to send funds to an exchange and the same amount to bring it back.Nabers Group
How long have you had an SD401k with them? I’m thinking about going with them because of the MBDR option.Nabers Group
What fees do they charge for buying and selling Bitcoin within the solo account?Solerabank Self-Directed IRA
I’ve had a self-directed IRA with them for a few years, primarily for purchasing Bitcoin. Once it’s set up, I think the annual custodial fee is $150.
Solera doesn’t have any trading fees. The only fees you’ll pay are those set by the exchange you use, like Kraken or Gemini. What fees do they charge for buying and selling Bitcoin within the solo account?

Any custodian will charge fees like these. For some people, especially those planning to invest small amounts regularly, the cost might be too high.I discovered that Solera only allows wire transfers to a crypto exchange, and each one costs $30.
I use Etrade, but setting it up can be a bit frustrating. If that's a hassle, you might want to check out Vanguard, though I'm not really familiar with how their setup works.
I realize I wasn't very clear about the Self-Directed option. To clarify, I don't believe Etrade offers a Self-Directed account, although they do have a Solo 401k option.
I've had a self-directed 401k for almost 20 years, mainly investing in trust deeds. I'm not satisfied with my current provider, though, and I'm curious about what other options are available. Are you thinking about investing in things like real estate with your Solo 401k?
