Retirement investment strategies and asset allocation?

It doesn't necessarily need to be VOO—I'm just not too familiar with the options at Fidelity. I think FXAIX would be a similar mutual fund. FDKLX works, but it's a bit on the conservative side for someone your age.

Do you have a retirement plan through your job, like a 401k, 403b, or pension?

If you're "covered" by a retirement plan at work (such as a pension, 401k, or 403b) and have a certain income, you might not be able to contribute to a tax-deductible IRA or Roth IRA, unless you do a "backdoor Roth IRA contribution" (with some limits).

What is your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI), or if you're not sure, your gross salary?
